SE1 Picture Frames recently did the picture framing for a new Exhibition at the House of Illustration; Made in North Korea: Everyday Graphics from the DPRK. The exhibition displays the collection of Nicholas Bonner, the foremost expert on North Korean graphic culture, tourism and film, who has led tours to the country for 25 years. The exhibition shows hundreds of original objects including food packaging, ticket stubs and stamps, together with hand-painted propaganda posters and comics. The exhibition has had some fantastic reviews:

“A rare glimpse into an isolated graphic culture” Financial Times
“Offers a new perspective by looking at everyday life there” Design Week
“A superb exhibition” ★★★★★ Londonist
“It’s bonkers and beautiful. All the best things are” @beccamagnus

See the exhibition at The House of Illustration until the 13th May
